World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft is a decent game. The crafting system is pretty good. You can make money as you kill. Leveling can be very boring (most quests consist of killing creatures for item drops that have a drop rate of 10%). The quests that are a number of kills are somewhat distasteful as well since a lot of times what you need the most of spawns the least. Example being kill 5 rangers and 10 woodsman. There will be 20 ranger spawns and 2 woodsman. So it's backwards. There is one expansion to buy, and believe me, if you want the good stuff and to advance your professions you need to buy it. Immediately in the new zone from the expansion I got gear from easy quests that surpassed my PvP gear.
Everquest 2
Everquest 2 was a nice change going back to armor and weapons. Leveling was moderate and PvP was very active (played on PvP server). Once you hit lvl 10 you are active in PvP. Each zone has a certain lvl range for PvP (ex. 8 levels). So anyone 9 levels higher than you cannot attack you unless you attack them, so watch yer AoEs! There are several quests available. There are also collection quests. You can level by turning items in. You may gain Action experience to bolster yer specific character types abilities and earn experience for your guild as you go along. EQ2 does require $$ (real money) for the several different addons and expansions. So you will have to open your wallet.
CoX
City of Villains/City of Heroes
I played these for about 1yr and 1/2. The game has many problems with balance. Heroes and Villains are almost completely different in their class types. There are certain class types that are almost impossible to kill 1vs1 in PvP unless u catch them AFK. Limits to amount of people you can have in your Super Groups is a downer. You also usually get advantages if you choose to be a hero rather than a villain. Leveling can be very slow. Some class selections are nearly impossible to get any real xp with if not in a group. Squishy classes may be stunned easily, while classes with monstrous health have tons of protection. Energy costs can drain you fast for powers and leave u helpless, there are however PvP items u can obtain to fix that problem. All PvP zones have NPCs, so watch yer back, someone might decide to Teleport u into a mob. Base designing is a good feature, you may build a massive fortress with several rooms and defenses. There are also SG missions available through your base. The game design is much different with enhancements to slot on Powers you select. Being able to slot better enhancements as you advance in levels. There are some new features I have not checked out yet. In the near future I may post them.

SWG
The first online game I played was SWG, before the combat upgrade. It was an exceptional game which was great fun to play. You didn't have to spend months trying to get to lvl 80 (max level at the time). Then they came out with the Combat Upgrade, which was actually a nerf. Many put up with it. Then they proposed to lower xp gains in groups, many quit. They changed it back. Then they created the New Game Enhancement. BIG MISTAKE! Everyone was nerfed, especially jedi. For all those that worked so hard to become jedi's, or those that grinded on the terminal for Bounty Hunty, perhaps those Bio-Engineers and Creature Handlers would also say that the game was destroyed. The city creation and politician abilities are still there. And the space combat. The ability to have several cities with a single guild, or different guilds is nice.
